Social media have had a widespread influence on consumers in recent years. Businesses can leverage advertising and exposure to their brand and products through well-planned social media strategies . However, as Justin alerts Tyler, many businesses lose profit by over-promoting without a strategy. The strategy needs to be planned with specific goal in mind for each campaign and outcome desired .
What Justin mentions is true, the social media must already show activity before going live in advertisements. A good strategy is for Kimball’s social media to build momentum to the grand opening, striking up patrons and potential client’s curiosity. He could accomplish this by posting progress with the construction in a way that leaves the viewers curious. Other posts could include items from the menu, with pictures taken at their current location, and posts including staff, humanizing the service I believe is a great strategy. This involves the staff in actively promoting the new location, and viewers engage more and want to know there are real people behind any product or service. Finally, Kimball’s should engage in promoting the grand-opening day and subsequent weeks of grand-opening, by offering a thank-you token to clients that come to the new Kimball’s by the lake and posting and measuring the results.
