Que: How and why do you think products acquire meaning to consumers?

Answer: Products make meaning to customers in the following ways:

1. Products impart a sense of belonging to the customers as they come in customised form and suit the customer needs. A customer may purchase his favourite shade, colour, style and brand of product.

2. The sense of belonging need of a person (Maslow's theory) is an important factor while marketing the product or delivering service. This makes the product do better and attach itself with the personality of the customer.

3. By becoming a returning customer, people keep on trying and attract other people to the product. This makes the product a brand and people like to display themselves as a long patron of the brand.

4. Many times the products and their after sales service are so good that customers are happy and satisfied. This solves many problems of customer and they attach meaning to the product.
