Give two separate opinions The marketing concept is a philosophy which bases a business' success on the wants, needs, and satisfaction of their consumer base (Finch, 2012, 1.1.) This philosophy places consumers at the forefront of the money-making aspect of a business. Without proper marketing, a business will miss out on a lot of profit. Marketing is a great way for a business to build notoriety among consumers. By taking into account the feedback they receive from their past consumer's, businesses are able to create a marketing procedure that can learn and grow from this information (Adamashvii, Fiore, 2017, 140.) Just taking into account the marketing strategies of businesses in today's day and age we can see this. Every other commercial that you see, or even printed ads, we see business' quoting past customers to show they produce trustworthy and quality products. By quoting their past customers they are able to change peoples view of the company. This is the entire point of marketing, to attempt to change the publics perception of a given company. This becomes blatantly obvious whenever there is a scandal or some kind of bad press surrounding a company. As a recent example, Facebook was found to have been selling people's information to the highest bidder. Facebook has been working overtime to attempt to regain public trust, through marketing and reiterating that Facebook is a safe social networking website. In this way marketing is a psychological method of gaining followers and consumers within a business that would suffer without the use of strong and proper marketing. Give opinion: Before reading the Managerial Marketing textbook, I assumed marketing was the method that organizations displayed their product and services to persuade customers into making a purchase. After reading this chapter, I am coming to an understanding that a lot more goes into marketing than I presumed. The role of marketing within an organization is just as critical as the type of communication utilized. With a changing, diverse society, the way companies market their products to consumers is evolving to match the pace of a constantly changing society. According to Finch (2012), marketing is a vital element in an organizations success as it provides a means for ongoing successful operation within a business. Marketing aid companies to develop a comprehension of the customers' needs and wants, which can assist companies in developing products that will satisfy those needs and want. Marketing management process is the interaction and planning that takes place to bring the buyers and sellers together to satisfy both the customer and the company (Finch, 2012). The process can be subdivided into four stages of decision making – situational analysis, marketing strategy, marketing mix decisions, and implementation and control. All of which can aid in creating a systematic, thorough decision-making process that can result in a productive outcome (Finch, 2012). Marketing as a whole is still a very complex topic with many layers to discover, and what motivate a customer to make a purchase continue to evolve, so will marketing strategies and processes

answer-

Opinion 1-

I think Marketing is a wider concept which has a lot more than that selling and advertising of company's products or services. i think marketing is related from introduction of new product in the market and after the sales is completed of that product marketing goes on.

without marketing, companies are not able to gain new customers or convert existing customers into loyal customers. marketing helps to build a huge customer base also influence the purchasing decision of customers like if company offer new discount or new offer then customers will think of the purchase which they would not do if there is no such promotion or marketing.

Opinion 2-

I also think that marketing is complex study which need time and effort but we as student can only have an overview that marketing is the process in which we offer information about our products or services. marketing is more than that. marketing involves gathering of information, marketing research, segmentation, position and targeting, pricing strategies etc. then business came up with good marketing for their products or services.

I think marketing looks simple but is very complex and yet very informative to study.
