1. The next ideal work opportunity is working in a senior managerial position in an FMCG company. This desired work opportunity provides learning opportunity, and ability to develop my personal growth. Senior managerial position can utilize my skills to maximum level. Such learning and skills development can further boost my career. Senior manager position develops entrepreneurship ability, interpersonal skills, and other skills.
2. The competition is intense for senior managerial position because less numbers of vacancies for managerial positions are opened. Therefore, experienced candidates in a large number apply for a single senior managerial position. The compensation that I am looking for managerial position should include salary, annual and long term incentives, health and insurance benefits, etc. Compensation package should be five to six folds that the salary I receive currently. Competition in local area is intense because there FMCG industry provides work opportunities to lots of people and many employees work in production, HR, marketing areas. I will have to face intense competition for senior marketing manager post because many FMCG companies operate in local area and many local and qualified candidates will apply for such opportunity.
3. The four skills or values important for new scenario are mentioned. One crucial skill is great interpersonal skills to build good rapport with marketing team and with retailers and distributors. Interpersonal skills generate trust and rapport and therefore, applying this skill can help to win confidence and trust of employees and other people. The second skill required from senior marketing manager is skills of conducting marketing research. A marketing manager is required to have knowledge of research techniques and practices, data analysis skills, and computer skills. These skills can identify new product development ideas and new market opportunities. The marketing manager is also required to have skills in creating budget and estimating cost for marketing research. He or she should have excellent skills in project management. The third skill is strong oral and written skill to communicate with others. Oral and written skill streamlines communication process and enhances communication effectiveness that is a key to success. Finally, the marketing manager must have strategic and logical thinking skill to develop business. Strategic thinking can help to create future vision and tap the future market opportunities. These skills can help in new scenario.
