Answer #1

The correct answer is (d) Tubulin is expressed in all cell lines tested.

Since there is a 51kb band in all the cell types, this suggests that it is expressed in all the cell types.

When a gene displays similar expression in all cells, they are called house keeping genes. They are trasnscribed at all times and are very essential for functioning of the cell.

Statements (a) and (c) is wrong since the antibody used should be similar and it is not necessary that it binds to different epitopes.

Statement (e) is incorrrect because as observed from the blot that all the bands are of similar size.
