Ans. Following is the table of comparison between the mitosis in plant cells and that in animal cells:

Mitosis in Plant Cells Mitosis in Animal Cells
In plant's,before the beginning of mitosis, the plant cells do not change the shape. In animals, the cells become round in shape before the cell mitotic cell division.
A specific plant hormone called cytokinin induces the mitosis. There is no specific hormone, instead a number of hormones are responsible for inducing the cell division.
In plant cell mitotic division, centrosome does not occur. A centrosome is an essential part of animal cell mitotic division.
Mitotic apparatus lacks asters and the spindle formed is anastral. Asters are present in the mitotic apparatus and the spindle is amphiastral.
During cytokinesis,a major part of the spindle remains as phagmoplast. Spindle gets degenerated at the time of cytokinesis.
Cytokinesis occurs by cell plate formation, where the Golgi-derived and endosomal vesicles that carry cell wall and cell membrane components are delivered to the cell division plane and subsequent fusion of the vesicles within the plate take place. Cytokinesis occurs through cleavage furrow, which deepens until it splits the parent cell into the two daughter cells.
Microfilaments have no significance in the function of cytokinesis. Microfilaments are the part of cytokinesis process.
The cell plate grow centrifugally. The cleavage formed proceeds centripetally.
It takes place in the meristems, located at the stem tip and roots of the plant It occurs in bone marrow and in many epithelia of the cells.
