SIMILARITIES BETWEEN ANIMAL AND PLANT CELLS

1. Both have genetic material(DNA).

2. Both have cell membrane or plasma membrane.

3. Both have ribosomes, mitochondria, nucleus, nucleolus, Golgi bodies, cytoplasm, ER, vacuoles.

4. Both have lysosomes as well.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PLANT AND ANIMAL CELL

ANIMAL CELL PLANT CELL
It has a thin, flexible and living plasma membrane. It has thick, dead cell wall along with plasma membrane.
Nucleus generally located in the center or near the center of the cell. The nucleus is present at the periphery.
Lack of glyoxysomes. Have glyoxysomes.
A cell wall is not present. A cell wall is present.
Plastids are absent. Plastids are present.
Consists of centrioles. Does not have centrioles.
