Answer #1

Virginia enacted the born into slavery act of 1662 which means all the children born to an enslaved woman would be slaves. One of the landmark laws that officially established the concept of racism in which even children who were not yet born were forced to inherit slavery from their mothers. This would mean that it shows that the white settlers were not ready to treat black people as they are but forced the enslaved black women to bear more children so that the white master could have more slaves. It brings out how racists and how selfish the white people were at that point of time although they followed Christianity whose core belief is justice, equality and fraternity.
