Why do you think it is important to reflect on issues of power and privilege when working in community settings?(150 words)

Power and privilege is a part of a community setting. This is because our community is segregated into different group. Sometimes due some set of characteristics a set of individuals gets due privilege in the society and with the privilege they get the power too. But the minority groups are same human then them but as due to some reasons they don't get the privilege and they set of people mainly someone not having much power. There should be a balance in the society so that it should not leads to any negative impact. But due to the improper distribution of power and privilege there are negatives affects. For eg- The Blacks in the American are not seen as equal as a white person and due to the negligence in the society there are many negatives impacts like crime, violent protests etc.
