answer-
The five stages of team development are Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing and adjourning.
Forming is the first stage of team development. In this stage, team members come together and get acquainted and introduce each other. this stage helps team members to get to know each other. In this stage, some member feel overly excited , some feel uncertain and some show behavior of politeness.
for example- when we go to orientation program of college or new job or asked by our team to do a group project by members chosen by teacher which we do not know.
Storming is the second stage. as the name suggest, This stage is like strom for team members because there are more personality, clashes, conflicts and arguments among team members. people fight for their places and leadership at this stage.
for example- a new sports team formed for the first time and two players fight for the position of team leader.they both have alpha male personality and clash with each other.
Norming stage is the third stage of team development. In this stage, team members start to solve their conflicts and differences. They start to understand what is best for team and play by thier strengths. They start to know each member's value and respect team leader.
for example- sports team player decide that Tom is good at catching, Fin is good at tackling and chirs is good at goaling so team play and agree on each other's view and opinion.
Performing is the fourth stage where team is now more organized and ready to perform. There is strong cooperation and communication to win the end goal.
for example- all team members of group project perform in class where each member talk about topics in presentation in which they are strong and confident.
Adjourning is the last stage where team meet their end goal and its time to disband the team. for example- Now group project is over and team members are now back to thier own work and life.
