In the series LCR circuit, the L and C produce the reactance while R has resistance. The value of resistance is constant while values of both reactance of L and C depends on frequency \omega .

Thus L and C are main components in order to produce AC signals therefore they are compromise one circuit unit while R is constant value generator.

Therefore ,R is not put in between L and C for the circuit.
