a. It produces flowers
b. It produces fruits
c. It exhibits double fertilization

9. Bryophytes exhibit a haplodiplontic life cycle.
i.e. The gametophyte is dominant and the sporophyte is dependent on the gametophyte for attachment and nutrition.
The gametophyte produces gametes by mitotic division. The egg cell in the archegonia is fertilized by the male gamete to produce a diploid zygote.
The zygote produces the multicellular diploid sporophyte by mitotic divisions.

10. Seeds provide an adaptive advantage.
a. They help a plant to disperse into new habitats
b. They help to survive adverse conditions by exhibiting dormancy
