Ans. two of the choices are correct. Diabetes Insipidus is a clinical disorder that can be identified by hypotonic urine and excessive thirst. The cause of Diabetes In sipidus associated with the hormone named Vasopressin or Anti Diuretic Hormone (ADH). The hormone is released from the posterior pituitary and controlled by the hypothalamus. The osmoreceptors have the ability to sense Osmolarity change. So, when the osmolarity of plasma is in control the secretion of ADH is not required but if the osmolarity crossed it's stable measure the secretion of ADH started. There are two types of Diabetes Insipidus one is caused due to decreased or lack of secretion of ADH from posterior pituitary which is known as Cranial Diabetes Insipidus and another is termed Nephrogenic Diabetes Insipidus. The ADH hormone can bind to the receptors on the cells of distal convoluted tubule (OCT) and collecting duct (CD) of kidney. The binding increase aquaporin channels in the membrane which increase water absorption and decrease plasma osmolarity.
