Situational leadership is a leadership style in which the leader
adapts his or her leadership style to suit the current work
environment and / or team needs. This style of leadership does not
depend on the skills of the leader. Instead, it is based on the
ability of the leader to adapt to the needs of the team or
organization to become a better and more effective leader. This
model of leadership can be called the "Situation Leadership Theory"
or "Situation Leadership Model" and was developed by Ken Blanchard
and Paul Hersey during the publication of "Management". "Management
attitudes."
According to Blanchard and Hersey, situation leaders can use one of
the following attitudes depending on the situation:
Storytelling: This style is when the team needs strict supervision
and regular guidance. Leaders who use storytelling style can make
all the decisions and then communicate those decisions to the team.
Storytelling style is most often used when the desired result is
repeated or when the group is at the starting point.
Sales: This type of leadership is often used when a team or
employee is not paying attention to a task or task.
Participants: Participatory behaviors are often used when a team is
capable of a specific task but does not have the desire or
confidence needed to perform it.
Delegates: Delegation of leadership style is when the team is
efficient and effective in its work and requires little
leadership.
