EXPLANATION

Plant life cycle is different from animal life cycle. Plant follows the life cycle with having stages of both multicellular haploid and diploid stage. This type of life cycle is known as haplodiplontic life cycle. The diploid multicellular stage is called diploid sporophyte which through meiosis form haploid spore. Each of These haploid spores form multicellular structure via mitosis called haploid gametophyte. As the name suggests Now these haploid gametophyte will produce haploid gametes which will fuse and form diploid sporophyte.

Note: here in the question suggest that plant is flowering plant so here , in this case plant would have dominant sporophyte stage with having flower in which the multicellular haploid gametophyte that is male and female gametophyte will be developed.
