For a modern world ,this has become a necessity, even more so in these times of pandemic ,but it has some disadvantages as well.
1. Lack of nonverbal cues : online communication lacks physical presence which may cause confusion or inefficiencies in communication.
2. Requires instrumemt : communicating online requires facilities or instruments on both the parties which may be expensive and hard to get.
3. Failures/slow connection : the whole concept is dependent on internet to work and sometimes it does not and crashes the whole plan.
4. Lagging : internet speed is getting better and better but it is not evenly distributed and can cause time lags which can be problematic.
5. Lacking the personal touch : online communication may feel isolated and disjointed where the participants may not feel engaged. This increases inefficiency.
