Online communication comes with the benefit of instant connection. It means that we do not have the constraint of being physically present in order to relay a message. The speed and duration are therefore exponentially better when we directly compare online and offline communication. The consideration for geographical reach is another aspect we can use. This means that since we are not bound by our physical limitations, we can essentially create a worldwide communication and send it through online channels and it would be received almost instantaneously throughout the world. This has allowed individuals and companies to be connected to each other, such as companies using its intranet to connect faster to its subsidiaries or supplier network.
We can also add that while there are also security risks
involved with online communication just as with offline
communications, the fact that there are also appropriate measures
such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encrypted lines,
and encryption technologies make the communications safer than when
