Streptococcus pyogenes is the gram-positive bacteria that produce the virulence factor i.e M-protein which elicits the immune response of the host and cause inflammation etc.

Host immune defenses to overcome the infection;

1. Inflammation
2. Fever
3. Interferon

It can be avoided by washing hands gently, take a bath daily, wear clean clothes and cuttin nails etc.
