How do you feel about mash-up artist who sample other artists music? Do you believe it's right or wrong? Please be specific when providing your view point.b Should they acknowledge the original creators work?

• I think it is right, if:-

1. The artist using the song for mashup took the consent of the original artist for the use.
2. The mash-up artist has paid the consideration against that use i.e. royalty benefits to the original artist.
3. There is a contract signed between both the artist regarding such use.
4. The mash-up artist duly acknowledge the original creator or artist of that music during the song or video.

• During remixing the song or music, those mash up artists also use their creative skills in doing so. In my point of view if they are keeping the above mentioned points in mind then it is ethical in nature.
• Yes, the original artist should be duly acknowledged and should be given credits for the original works.
