Let me simply state right of the bat I thought this present film's portrayal of the Persians and Spartans showed a degree of poor taste that was astounding. For the record I'd like to call attention to that I am mindful the Persians Empire was a socially modern spot for now is the ideal time, and a far less savage one contrasted with even the more dynamic and edified Greek urban communities of the period. Not to mention Sparta which actually speaks to one of the most brutal and authoritarian systems to have existed in mankind's history. Having said that I guess the movie producers were endeavoring a more emblematic than strict portrayal of the Persians as observed through the eyes of the unenlightened and panicked Greeks of that period.
