Answer #1

Perception has a significant meaning in itself.

It is the ability to see, visualize, or interpret something according to your senses and the level of mindset.

It provides a unique identity to a person, and it would define them.

Different people have different perceptions, based on which they have their own needs and characteristics. Accordingly, they also interact differently with their coworkers, subordinates, and customers. Understandings of different people working in an organization has a significant impact on organizational learning performance and employees' motivation.

Since people have different perceptions towards a common thing, they interpret everything differently. An action that is positive for the one would be harmful to the other.

Demonstrating the high line, one would say, "first impression is the last impression," and the other would say,'' don't judge a book by its cover." So, the organization has to respect everyone's perception and take care of it to achieve maximum employee satisfaction.

Managers have to provide different incentives to motivate the employees according to their perceptions.

At the workplace, people might have different perspectives based on some religion. Some might have a negative impression on the employee simply because he follows some particular religion.

At the workplace, we must have seen many demonstrations of the halo effect too.

So, all these would affect the organizational learning, employee motivation, and work performance. If we talk about organizational learning, some people might have a perspective that change is not right, while others believe it is for good.

In conclusion, I would say the managers need to understand and observe all the employees' perspectives and would have to set training and development programs and work schedules in a manner that satisfies everyone. It would help in improving the work performance of all.
