1) The picture with lowest MIC (Minimum Inhibitory concentration) is :-

(d) The zone of inhibition is Maximum.

Minimum inhibitory concentration is the lowest concentration of the antimicrobial agent that inhibit visible growth of the microorganism after overnight incubation.

In the figure (d) it has max area of inhibition that means the microorganism (bacteria) is most sensitive to this antibiotic. So it will have the lowest MIC value.

MIC value is inversely proportional to the zone of inhibition. More the zone of inhibition less will be MIC and vice versa. So the correct answer is (d).

2) The picture showing most effective antibiotic is :-

(d) Where the zone of inhibition is Maximum.

Effectiveness of an antibiotic is directly proportional to the zone of inhibition. Since in picture (d) there is maximum zone of inhibition i.e. bacteria are more sensitive to this antibiotic, so it will be the most effective.
