Answer #1

ANSWER :

let us conduct a simple experiment that iodine reacts with starch to get blue black colour

experiment:

* Take two test tubes , in one test tube add a small amount of starch powder and then dissolve in water and in another test tube take glucose solution or water as control

* To the Test tube having starch solution( experimental group) add few drops of iodine solution and to the another tube having glucose solution or water( control group) also add iodine drops

  * Now observe the colour change in both test tubes

observation: In test tube having starch solution , we can observe the colour change i.e, blue black and ther is no colour change in another test tube having glucose solution or water.

Result : Iodine reacts with starch to get blue black colour , there is no reaction between glucose or water with iodine so,there is no colour change.

When conducting an experiment, it is important to have a hypothesis in mind and know what variables you will be looking at to help you in your testing. Ordinarily a scientist will perform a sort of experimental design before beginning any lab work. To gain some experience with this type of work, complete and attach an Experimental Design Worksheet for this experiment. Please use the worksheet provided under this experiment on Canvas. The elders’ age was statistically controlled. What procedure for statistical control might the researcher have used? A. Propensity score matching B. Analysis of covariance C. Manipulation checks D. I will be negalite control a positive control * Homework before The Hill Reaction Lab, your group should do the following: 1) Write a question that you would like to answer about how different conditions alleet the Hill reaction. Remember, a possible answer to this question should be your hypothesis, not predictions about the specific outcome of an experiment Here is an example: Question: Is there a specific temperature range within which photosynthesis can continue to operate? Hormones can also influence an animal’s “motivation” to engage in a particular behavior. Discuss how an experimental study of “appetitive behavior” in male Japanese quail illustrates this concept. As part of your answer be sure to explain specifically how testosterone is involved. For the above example, describe in detail how the experiment was performed. Be sure to explain what control group was included in the study, and explain what that group was controlling “for” and why it was important to...

Think of observation then form a question and hypothesis. Then, design an experiment you could do to test your hypothesis. Make sure the experimental design is detailed and define all of your variables (the dependent variable, the independent variable, the controlled variable, designing the procedure, level of treatment, replication, the control. ) On a separate sheet of paper, think of an observation you have made and then form a question and hypothesis. Then, design an experiment you could do to...
