Answer #1

Fats are long chain of hydrocarbons containing glycerol and fatty acids. Saturated fats are the hydrocarbons with single bond. Example: animal fat products like cream, cheese etc. And coconut oil

Unsaturated fats are the hydrocarbons with at least one double bond in the fatty acid chain. Example: palmitic acid, vegetable oil

Phosolipids are the major components of cell membrane that contains two hydrophobic fatty acid tail and one hydrophillic phosphate head.

Steroids are a class of lipids that is structurally different from other lipids. They are non polar due to long chains of hydrocarbons. They have a fused ring system made of 3cyclohexane and one cyclopentane. Example: cholesterol
