Child abuse is a failure generated due to parent or a caregiver which eventually results in the harm to a child irrespective of location, it may be at home, or in schools or offices etc. Generally there are four types of child abuse, discussed below:

  1. Physical abuse: It is the abuse which caused due to unintentional use of force against the child, by compelling a child to do the work. It has a negative impact on child's health and survival. This includes hitting, scalding, beating, etc.
  2. Sexual abuse: In this case an adult or older compells the child for sexual stimulation. It includes showing pornography, pressuring a child to engage in sexual activities, etc.
  3. Psychological abuse: In this case, child is abused due to the social and psychological considerations which results a child to become coarse and rude, creates harsh critism, etc.
  4. Neglect: It is due to the less caretaking of a parent or other person with responsibility towards child, to provide them food, bread and home etc.

It is a serious concern worldwide which remains in action silently and is difficult to detect. Detection rates of child abuse at emergency services are low. Children who experiences the child abuse are treated at an emergency department. Intervention at emergenct departments should be increase the detection rates of cases of confirmed child abuse. So that the literacy rate of child should be maintained in a balancing manner. Emergency services can take the experience from past cases to secure the future of a child. Emergency services must come in a action by raiding at factories, social working sites etc. where children being abused and their abusers must be accused properly to decrease the child abusing.
