The dilution factor is the final dilution that is used to get the colonies which are in the range of 30-300. So the dilution factor will be 10-8.

CFU/ml is given by a number of colonies/dilution factor * volume plated in ml.

Given that half, plate gives 46 colonies. So full plate will give 92 colonies.

Volume Plated = 0.1ml

Dilution factor = 10-8

92 /10-8 *0.1

92 * 108 * 10

9.2 * 1010 CFU/ml or CFU/gm of soil
