Answer #1

A haploid structure called the gametophyte, and a diploid structure called the sporophyte . The haploid structure produces reproductive cells called gametes. They fuse to create a zygote that grows by the cell division process of mitosis into a new diploid structure. The diploid structure produces reproductive cells called sporophytes by the cell division process of meiosis. These reproductive cells grow into a new 1N structure, spores by the cell division process of meiosis.
