Answer #1

Definitely antigens are the important components of a vaccine than the adjuvants.

Reason

Antigens are molecules/foreign substances that are present on the outside of the cells, pathogens such as virus, bacteria etc. The antigens creates an immune response which forces the body to produce antibodies. The antigen is what responsible for the immune response which helps in producing antibodies which are ready to destroy those antigen bound substances.

Adjuvants are just substances which accelerates/enhances the immune response caused by the antigen. To understand it clearly, if we put an adjuvant only & no antigen in a vaccine, then there won't be any immune response. But with both the antigen & adjuvant the immune response will be enhanced due to the presence of the adjuvant. If only antigen is present, then only a normal immune response will be induced.

hope the answer helps.
