Answer #1

Ans 1) The company should identify the hazardous conditions that calls for immediate rectification through the following evaluation :

Performing a deep analysis of the working conditions of employees in each area so as to identify the accident prone areas where most of the mishaps have happened in past or have the possibility of taking place in future. This will demand monitoring the present working method in these areas to classify them under the different heads , such as :
Safe Relatively safe Unsafe Dangerous

This way immediate attention will be given to the conditions reflecting most severity through this classification.
Moreover to identify hazardous conditions, the working methods will be evaluated in order to ensure that they in no manner are harmful to the employees using such methods, and if a degree of unsafety is reported then corrective measures should be taken by providing such facility that the happening of such event is avoided.
Moreover hazardous conditions can be perfectly understood, encountered and reported by employees themselves, so a 'Health Safety Readressal System' should be established and kept in place so that employees report any such experience or possibility of happening after which the degree of severity will be identified.

The ten possible dry cleaning store hazardous conditions in the company are :

1) The slippery surfaces increasing the possibility of accidents, trippings and concussions.

2) Use of chemicals such as Hydrofluoric acid to remove stains acting as threat to Heath..

3) Storing of tools and equipments in a manner that they could result in falls and hurting employees.

4) The large amount of combustible debris and waste that can result in bad health or unhygienic conditions if not disposed quickly every now and then.

5) Requirement of proper ventilation for employees working in the areas where compressed aur and extreme heat is used for products.

6) illumination in the work areas to make everything clearly visible so as to not step on anything that can hurt employees.

7) Regular testing of Safety Valves which if left unattended can hamper the employee safety.

8) use if hazardous chemicals which can impact the health of employees such as eye burns, head ache etc.

9) Waste management methods which if left unattended will result in accumulation of the waste causing health problems for employees such as breathing problems.

10) Discharge of irresponsible behaviour such as working at speed more than permissible.

2) Yes it is advisable for the company to set up a procedure for screening out the accident prone individuals as it will ensure that the individuals are monitored properly and their activities or working methods are made, subject to high evalauion in order to determine their share or responsibility in the accidents taken place. This will help the company to understand the reasons behind happening of such accidents and extend support for such individual to attend the problem immediately and protect them from any mishap or accident in future by proposing and implementing the corrective measures for them . It will also ensure that the root cause such as misinterpretation of a working method, using of incorrect approach, mishandling carelessness, hurry by the individuals (which is making that area an accident prone) is corrected and if necessary the setting of the area is rennovated, job method is restructured or the Individual is trnasfeted to some other position and more responsibile and experienced staff is place at the position for minimizing and eliminating the possibility of accidents under the hands of such individuals.

This can be done through strict monitoring of the individuals working in accident prone areas and analysing their actions to identify where they are going wrong and then providing proper and adequate training to make them understand the proper way of doing it and incentives can help in motivating them to work more efficiently and carefully , which can thus resolve the problem.

3) The importance of safety measures should be repeatedly communicated to the employees so as to make them aware about the importance of implementing such measures in the company.
The possibility of risks and their illeffects should be highlighted to warn employees of accidents and mishaps, so as to encourage them to practice self protection and safety.
Moreover discharging of safe behavior should be rewarded, such as providing incentives, if the employee is not involved in any mishaps for a complete month etc.

Further the company can also formulate a safety valve or a safety measures guide which will aware the employees about the areas prone to accidents and also communicate how to practice safety measures. It will help them in clearing doubts regarding working methods, encourage proper handling of tools and machines, highlight the significance of undertaking safety measures in the company.

Safety policies can be implemented and corporate culture making safety measures necessary to be undertaken should be practiced, the violation of which should be considered going against the norms laid down by the company. Moreover penalities should be imposed for not adhering to safety measures and strict actions should be taken against the individuals demonstrating a careless behaviour.
The voilation received for not practicing as per the safety policy imposed should be made subject to loosing jobs, which will make it serious for employees to do so.

please answer all parts I am trying to check my answers. Recrystallization of Acetanilide Recrystallization is an important method used by chemists to purify solid compounds. When a chemist conducts a chemical reaction as shown in Scheme 1, it will rarely go to 100% completion, and will frequently produce byproducts. These byproducts and some of the unreacted starting materials will be present in the end as impurities. Chemists need ways to remove these unwanted impurities so they can isolate their...

Microscale techniques: In today's experiment we will be using very small amounts of chemical reactants. This method is generally less expensive and more environmentally-friendly than traditional "test tube" chemistry. Some of the waste products produced in today's experiment, particularly those containing lead and barium, are harmful to the environment. By using such small amounts of chemical reactants we generate far less waste than by using larger scale methods. Procedure 1. Put on your safety goggles. Be sure to wear them...
