According to mendel's law of independent assortment

The expression of one gene has no effect on expression of another gene.

i.e. if there are two different genes taking example one is responsible for the height and another is responsible for the seed colour, then when inheritance will take place there will be no effect of gene responsible for height on the gene responsible for seed colour and vice versa.
