The following activities are part of a project to be scheduled using CPM.
Determine the critical Path.
The various paths are given as:-
A-B-C-D =8+6+7+7=28
A-E-G-C-D =8+5+4+7+7 =31
A-E-F-D=8+5+9+7 =29
As the longest duration is of path A-E-G-C-D so this is the critical path.
Answer:- 31 weeks
In this case, the duration of F=9-2=7 and B=6-1=5
Now the duration of various paths,
A-B-C-D =8+5+7+7=27
A-E-G-C-D =8+5+4+7+7 =31
A-E-F-D=8+5+7+7 =27
So despite the deduction in the duration of activities B and E, there will be no change on the completion date.
KINDLY RATE THE ANSWER AS THUMBS UP. THANKS A LOT.
