Answer #1

Answer : (1) : It is better to perform acetylation with acetic anhydride because acetic anhydride is more reactive than acetic acid and also leaving group tendency of acetate from acetic anhydride is much faster than OH- from acetic acid . So, reaction kinetics will be high in acetylation with acetic anhydride .
