Effect of aging on tissues-
Age related changes on tissues level mainly affects cells present and extracellular matrix surrounding or produces by consecutive cells. Cell division becomes slower, collagen fibres appears irregular in structure but also there number might increases. Because of this, connective tissues shows more collagen fibers and becomes less flexible and more fragile.elastic fibers becomes less elastic. Elastic connectibe tissues becomes less elastic. And it reduces elasticity of connective tissues which is responsible for wrinkling of skin and breaking of bone.

Factors affecting tissue repair
1. Type of tissues injured and infection-it may be one of the main reason behind delay healing.
2. Type of injury and immediate treatment
3. Nutrition - eg. Vitamin C deficiency inhibits collagen synthesis and slows it.
4. Adequately blood supply
5. State of health
6. Age- advance age shows slow healing.
18- Describe the effects of aging on tissues. 19- Explain the factors affecting tissue repair. Rosad...
The body has a remarkable way of healing, specifically with tissue repair. Tissues are repaired by fibrosis and regeneration. Explain what are the differences between the two types of tissue repair? Give examples of the cells and tissues involved in both repair processes.
