Gene activation is a process by which different transcription factors helps in activation of the genes and it further produces a product which helps in various metabolic pathways or in signal transduction. Within each of the cells, only a certain amount of genes are activated and the remaining of the genes remains turned off. The process by which the genes are turned on or off is known as gene expression. The hormone response element is a short DNA sequence which is located within the promoter of a gene and it has the tendency to bind to specific hormone receptor complex and hence it helps in activation as well as regulation of transcription. The gene activation and hormone response element are related concepts because when the hormone response element is activated, it is able to further activate the process of transcription and hence ensure the gene activation.

DNA does not code for lipids. In spite of this, gene activation can lead to a change in the fluidity of plasma membranes as an organism acclimatizes to a drop in temperature. Explain how this is possible.

How does Avogadro's number relate to the atomic mass and moles of an element? Avogadro's number can be used to convert the atomic mass of an element to the mass of one mole of that element The mass of one mole of an element can be used to convert the atomic mass of that element to Avogadro's number. Avogadro's number is not related to the atomic mass of an element or the mass of a mole of that element. The...
How can you generate a mouse that expresses a gene on demand as an adult mouse. none of the above using a tissue specific promotor to drive expression of a tetracycline response element and ubiquitous promotor to control expression of the gene of interest with lots of training using a tissue specific promotor to drive expression of a tetracycline reregulatory protein and a tetracycline response element to control expression of the gene of interest that is driven by a ubiquitous...
