Euthanasia is defined as termination of life of a patient to save him of all the miseries. Euthanasia is legal in some countries while illegal in other.

Euthanasia is of two types voluntary and involuntary. Voluntary euthanasia is termination of life on patient’s consent whereas involuntary euthanasia is termination of life without patient’s consent. Involuntary euthanasia is illegal all round the world.

In my opinion,euthanasia is a good alternative to put patient out of his miseries. There are certain medical conditions that deteriorate patient's quality of life. Patient is completely bed ridden or in permanent coma, on permanent life support system.

Such patients who medically have no hope for betterment should be permitted euthanasia. A team of medical professionals, physicians and family members should decide the chances for their betterment and allow for euthanasia.
