Make 100 mls of a 10X saline stock solution-- 100mls of 9%
sodium chloride. (Please show calculations)
Answer
A. Stock solution is 10X
To make 100 ml divide total volume of solution by 10
So 100/10= 10ml
So from stock solution take 10 ml and mix with 90 ml of water or saline to prepare 100ml of 1X solution.
B. To make 100 ml of 9% NaCl
9% = 9 g of NaCl in dissolved in 100 ml water.
we need to make a stock of 100 ml with 9% of NaCl
Therefore; (9g Nacl) (100ml/100ml) = 9 grams
Finally take 100 ml of water and weigh 9 g of NaCl. Mix properly to make a stock solution of 9%.
Hope it will helpful to you. Thank you
All the best
