It is given that ,

For 1x stock solution we require 0.9 g of solute in 100 ml of solution

Therefore for 50x stock solution,

Amount of solute required per 100 ml solution is 0.9 * 50 = 45g

Volume of solution required is 500 ml

Therefore, amount of solute required for 500ml is (45/100)*500 = 225g (answer)
