Answer #1

Osteoblasts are involved in bone deposition while osteoclast are bone resorbing cells.

Osteocytes are mature bones derived from osteoblasts.

Osteoporosis or porous bones are characterised by low bone mass and deterioration of bone tissue that leads to brittle bones.

During growth and development in youth osteoblastic activity exceeds osteoclastic activity.so, bones grow and increase the BMD bone mass density.

If osteoclastic activity exceeds osteoblastic activity it will lead to low BMD and hence leads to osteoporosis.

So decline in osteoblast activity is the main reason for osteoporosis.
