Colonialism is the policy or practice of acquiring full or partial control over other economy and exploiting it economically. Colonialism led to immigrtion and these immigrants started converting lanks into permanent settlement making land inaccessible and unfertile. They took land ownership under their hand. Thus, local residents had to surrender their land forcibly. Colonial rulers gave temporary occupancy rights to landholders and possessed the power to convert any land under public good.
