.1) Two key changes in the way that people die differently no than they did 100 years ago?

A lot has changed in the past 100 years. Our technology our funeral traditions,and as it turns out even the way of life 100 years ago as a lot more dangerous.

COMMON CAUSE OF DEATH IN 1901

The average life expectancy in 1901 as around 47 years.For death the top 3 reasons listed were

  • Tuberculosis

  • Pneumonia

  • Heart disease

TOP ACCIDENTAL RELATED DEATHS

  •   Heat and sunstroke

  • Railroad accidents

  • Burns and scalds

  • Accidental gunshot wounds

COMMON CAUSE OF DEATH TODAY

Life expectancy today is a lot better than it as in 1901.The average life expectancy is about 76 years. The most common cause of death today are;

  • Heart disease

  • Cancer

  • Accidents

  • Stroke

Today with our better understanding of disease we can prevent many of the top causes of death.(example)roughly a third of heart disease is preventable through lifestyle changes.

A lot has changed in the past 100 years.And you cannot help wonder what death might look like 100 years from now.

2)Considering the aging population and changes to the way people die what are the two challenges in providing care for dying people now?

The age group of older adults is defined by the WHO as persons with a chronological age of 65 and more.However the biological age and the physical and mental conditions can vary a lot among different people in this age group.

All in all the population of older adults faces various obstacles in daily life often depends on medical support.

challenges of an aging society

when an improvement of health care enables an increase of life expectancy.

Regular medical checkups can help identify risk persons and act preventatively.

Besides older adults are more vulnerable to illness because of decreasing immune system.

FACING THE CHALLENGES

Increasing life expectancy also means that the no. of patients suffering from geriatric diseases rises consequently more and more people need daily life assistance.

A a healthy and strong body is normally less vulnerable to fall ill,a healthy life style helps prevent several geriatric diseases.

Is it essential to exercise regularly in order to strenghten their body and their immune system.
