Glycine is the smallest amino acid with Hydrogen atom as its R group. Hence its exhibits easy rotation and most structural flexibility.

The alpha carbon of proline is attached to its side chain giving it a conformational rigidity, when found in a peptide chain.  

Cysteine has a sulfhydryl group in its side chain, which can form a disulfide bond with another cysteine residue.
