=====================================================

The Information systems(IS) has been innovated around the leading core of knowledge concerning information in organizations with the main theme of providing lessons for effective practice.

IKA was a social society agnecy in greece that managed social benifits for citizens. As like many cmpanies, IKA faced difficulties while implementing IS. IKA repeatedly tried to implement IS to improve efficiency and accuracy in revinue and insurer data handling. However, every attempt of IKA was failed due to local stakeholder understandings.

The first IS project at IKA , called "Revinue System" and started in 1983. The project was regulated in IKA to improve accountability,financial resources and designed interactions between IKA employees and insured members.Later the project was discontinued when the required sources were not provided by the supervising ministry.Soon after, the entire modernization was stopped when IKA's director displaced by an anti-modernizer.

In a social -technical analysis, all of us should know that, the failure is not because of computerization and resistance but because of organizational rationalization.That was mainly causes for many interpretations at IKA.

In IKA a political job was intoduced for civil servants and for greek society. This system led to mazor inefficiencies in IKA, by politically influenced promotions and poor training. At the end,IKA was a system of providing jobs not services.
