Eye color in fruit fly is X linked. Here genotype of heterozygous individual will be XRXr and genotype of white eyed individual will be XrY.

a)XRXr-heterozygous, XrY-white eyed

b)50%.

The cross will be as, XRXr × XrY --> [(XR),(Xr)] ×[ (Xr),(Y)] -->XRXr-red,XrY-white,XRY-red,XrXr-white.

So 2 out of 4 are white ,so 50%.
