Answer #1

True/false, if false explain why

Q.Callas enzyme, secreted by microspores, breaks down callose, which is a polysaccharide that keeps microspores in tetrads.

Answer is false because Callas enzyme secreted by tapetum and not by microspore.

In plants, microspores are released from tetrads after callose is degraded by callase, an enzyme produced by the tapetum.

(Stieglitz and Stern, 1973).
