Answer-

Oral acidogenic microorganism like Lactobacillus can be expected to grow in the Snyder test medium.

Snyder test medium is a differential medium that is used to grow acidogenic bactetia like Lactobacillus. The name Snyder comes from the name of scientist, Snyder, who described colorimetric method for determining the rate and amount of acid produced by microorganism in saliva. This medium contains peptones as carbon, nitrogen, vitamin and mineral source. Glucose medium is inoculated with saliva. pH is 4.7 to inhibit the growth of other bacteria. Bromcresol green is used as pH indicator. Microorganisms that use the glucose in the medium acidify the medium and pH indicator changes color from green to yellow.
