Answer #1

Correct answer- (d) CDNA

The enzyme reverse transcriptase has both polymerising role as well as RNAse H role and functions to convert a single stranded mRNA molecule first to a single stranded DNA, then RNASe H activity of the enzyme reverse transcriptase degrades the mRNA strand. Now, utilizing the DNA strand as the template, second strand of DNA, complementary to the first one gets synthesized, thus producing a double stranded DNA or cDNA from mRNA.
