Answer #1

Pituitary gland is a small endocrine gland which is in oval shape or pea shaped. It is located behind the nose near underside of brain. It is attached to hypothalamus by a stalk like structure (infundibulam). Pituitary gland has two lobe, anterior and posterior. The superior surface of gland is covered by dura matter the diaphrama sellae. The membrane has a central opening allows the passage of infundibulam. The anterior contain sphenoid sinus and posterior with dorsum sellae

Anterior lobe composed of glandular epithelium and secretes several hormones .The lobe further divided into Pars Anterior(large),pars intermediate(thin epithelium separates pars anterior from posterior lobe),pars tuberalis(upward extension of pars anterior)

Posterior lobe consists of nervous tissue arises from embryonic forebrain. The anterior lobe has arterial supply from superior hypiphyseal artery and posterior get blood supply from many arteries.
