Answer #1

Answer :- molluscs :- all molluscs are bilaterally equal except gastropods.

Torsion in gastropod :-

Torsion is a rotation of visceral mass and foot 180 degrees with respect to head and foot.

Head and foot do not take part in torsion and remained fixed.

Evolutionary reasons:-

Visceral growth in gastropods causes it to lean more to right side than left side as a result unequal growth of the body occurs.which results in unbalanced shell.

Therefore in order to prevent falling due to unbalanced shell gastropods have evolved torsion as a special mechanism by which it brings back the center of gravity to the middle of body.
