In this context, there is only one phylum of fungi that produce motile cells with flagellum during at least one stage of their life cycle. These phylum is the chytridiomycota. The modern chytridiomycota is called chytrids and they are found a diverse range of ecosystems. The can be found in tropic, artic, terrestrial and aquatics environments
