1.The answer is a. coding exons are seperated by noncoding introns.

In eukaryote genes, unlike prokaryotes, we can find both coding and non coding sequences in the gene. The coding regions are called exons and noncoding regions are called introns. during posttranscriptional modifications, these introns will be removed form the mRNA.

Explanation is: Two exons are seperated by one intron. simply the formula is "no of exons - 1", so here 8-1 = 7.

3. Rhodopsin is an eukaryotic gene, so it contains both exons and introns. but if we take mRNA, it contains only exons, coz during post trascirptional modifications, the introns will be removed. so, the average number of nucleotides in exon is
=Total number of nucleotides in mRNA/number of exons
= 2768/5 = 553.6 ~ 554.

The answer is a. 554 nucleotides.
